As part of AFJN's project on Restorative Justice, staff members wrote a paper on their research in Burundi and Uganda and how it applies to U.S. policy and education.

On November 7, 2008 the Secretary General of  the United Nations Mr. Ban Ki Moon, leaders representing the African Union, Heads of State from the Great Lakes Region and beyond met in Nairobi, Kenya to address the crisis in the North Kivu Province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.  This is an unofficial translation from French by Africa Faith and Justice Network (AFJN) of their joint statement.
