Nigerian teenagers win World tech innovation challenge

Despite all odds, women in Nigeria are breaking the code in technology. Yesterday, August 9th, five teenage girls from a Catholic Secondary school Regina Pacies in Onitsha Anambra state Nigeria challenged the world of technology and emerge as the gold winners among 2000 technological giants from around the world. The team, who developed an app that will dictate a chronic problem of fake drugs in Nigeria, at Silicon Valley San Francisco, proved to all that young people, irrespective of their race, gender and social status could be part of solving world’s social problem.
