Happy New Year to you and yours!
We resumed work today, Thursday, the second day of the Year 2020 after New Year’s Day celebration. As the first order of business and to refocus and renew our commitment to the mission of the Africa Faith & Justice Network (AFJN) we (Eucharia, Baz, Bahati and Aniedi) spent some extended time in prayers thanking God for what God achieved through AFJN in 2019 and entrusting to God all our undertakings for 2020. We asked Our Blessed Mother Mary to accompany us throughout the year. The prayer session ended with the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by the Executive Director, Dominican Father Aniedi Okure.
AFJN inspired by the Gospel and informed by Catholic Social Teaching, seeks to educate and advocate for just relations with Africa and to work in partnership with African peoples as they engage in the struggle for justice, peace, and the integrity of creation. This is our mission. We certainly cannot carry out this mission without your support.
