On June 28, 2023, Dr. Steven Nabieu Rogers, Executive Director of the Africa Faith and Justice Network, was interviewed by Esther Githui-Ewart on Voice of America’s Africa 54 “Analysis: Next Steps for Sierra Leone’s President Elect Bio.”
Yesterday, the Africa Faith and Justice Network along with over forty four national and international faith-based organizations sent a joint letter to Congress urging Members of Congress to reauthorize the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) before the end of FY2023 (September 30, 2023). Since 2003, PEPFAR has saved millions of lives around the world by providing capacity strengthening to local health systems, increasing access to lifesaving medications, and supporting adults and children living with HIV/AIDS.
Juneteenth is a holiday of hope. A time to ease the pain, the anger and the sadness around continued racial injustice in the United States. An opportunity for us all to work to do better for ourselves, our friends and colleagues, our communities, and our children.
