On Juneteenth, June 19, 2024, at noon EDT (USA and Canada) join the Africa Faith and Justice Network (AFJN) and the Missionaries of Africa (White Fathers) in the Celebration of the Eucharist as we reflect on Christ as the Source of our true freedom. The Celebrant is Rev. Barthelemy Bazemo, MAfr, a Priest with the Missionaries of Africa and AFJN Board Member. This hybrid event is open to all.
The goal of this panel discussion is to explore, in brief,
the suffering of the African Church, to create the awareness of this
suffering in the minds of Africans in the diaspora and to explore
ways they can respond.
On May 30th, “U.S. Department of the Treasury, IRS Announce Direct File as Permanent Free Tax Filing Option, All 50 States and D.C. Invited to Join in Filing Season 2025” in their press release. The Africa Faith and Justice Network, was one of the 256 organizations who signed the Coalition for Free and Fair Filing’s letter calling to expand and make permanent the IRS Direct File.

On May 29, 2024 Dr. Steven Nabieu Rogers, Executive Director of the Africa Faith and Justice Network, was interviewed on Background Briefing with Ian Masters’ “Today’s Election in South Africa as a Referendum on the ANC”.
But while Africa is growing fast, it is not growing together. Pan-African solidarity has given way to national self-interest, putting the continent at crossroads and undermining its progress.
