On October 18, 2016 under the facilitation of the African Union, the coalition of H.E. President Joseph Kabila of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and some members of the opposition signed an agreement on the way forward to elect a president who will lead the nation after his second term which ended on December 19, 2016.
Because the October 18, 2016 agreement did not end the crisis, the National Conference of Catholic Bishops facilitated a more inclusive dialogue which included those who did not take part in the first dialogue. On December 31, 2016 a more inclusive agreement also known as the Saint Sylvester Agreement was signed. However, currently, there seems to be a slowdown in the implementation of the agreement.The panel discussion will shine
