Youth in Abuja Nigeria say “No” to Domestic Servitude and Child Trafficking
In view of this, in March 26 and June 3, 2023, Africa Faith and Justice Network Nigeria organized a day workshop for the youths of Sacred Heart Parish, Airport and St. Kizito Parish, Kuje both in Abuja. The workshop was targeted at galvanize the energy of these youths to work together to end domestic servitude and human trafficking and to educate and sensitize them on the dangers of these vices which is predominantly harming the youths.

Faith-Based Organizations Tell Congress to Reauthorize PEPFAR
Yesterday, the Africa Faith and Justice Network along with over forty four national and international faith-based organizations sent a joint letter to Congress urging Members of Congress to reauthorize the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) before the end of FY2023 (September 30, 2023). Since 2003, PEPFAR has saved millions of lives around the world by providing capacity strengthening to local health systems, increasing access to lifesaving medications, and supporting adults and children living with HIV/AIDS.

Working Together to End Child and Early Marriage in Ghana and Nigeria
In October 2022, AFJN WEP received a three-year grant from the Conrad Hilton Foundation (Sisters Initiative) to build the capacity of sisters and the local communities towards ending child and early marriage and domestic servitude in Ghana and Nigeria. These projects took off in Ghana and Nigeria in November and December 2022Â respectively.

AFJN Board Chair Interviewed on African Catholic Voices
Sr. Nkechi Iwuoha, PHJC was interviewed on African Catholic Voices, a service by the Pan-African Catholic Theology and Pastoral Network, about her vocation of service. Sr. Nkechi serves as the Board Chair of the Africa Faith and Justice Network and as a Provincial Counselor of the American Province of the Poor Handmaid of Jesus Christ.
